We Accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Affordable dental care, backed by a federal program—now available at Ora Dental Calgary.

At Ora Dental Calgary, we believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care. That’s why we proudly accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)—a government initiative designed to make essential dental services more accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians.

What Is the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for a wide range of basic dental services, including:

  • Dental exams & cleanings

  • X-rays

  • Fillings & extractions

  • Preventive and routine oral health treatments

If you qualify, CDCP can help you and your family maintain a healthy smile without financial strain.

Who’s Eligible for the CDCP?

To qualify, you must:

  • ✔️ Be a Canadian resident with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)

  • ✔️ Have a family net income under $90,000/year

  • ✔️ Not have access to private or employer-provided dental insurance

If you’re unsure about your eligibility or application status, visit the official CDCP website

Initial Examination

At Ora Dental, your dentist will start by reviewing your medical and dental history, then complete a comprehensive exam. This includes evaluating your gums, teeth, bite, and jaw, along with an oral cancer screening and any necessary X-rays.

Treatment Plan

Once your history and examination are complete, your dentist will outline a personalized treatment plan based on your needs. We will also walk you through your oral health findings, explain your options, and answer any questions so you can make informed decisions.

Insurance and Payments

Ora Dental is here to help you understand your insurance coverage and payment options, so you can focus on your care and long-term dental health.

Insurance Claims

Where available, we can direct bill your insurance provider. Our administrative team can also help you review your plan details and better understand what may be covered.

Payment Methods

Payment is due at the time of your appointment for the full treatment cost, or for the patient portion if we are direct billing your insurance. We accept cash, debit, cheque, and most major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

Respecting everyone’s time helps us care for everyone better.

At Ora Dental, we’re committed to providing high-quality, timely care to all our patients. When you schedule an appointment with us, that time is reserved just for you. We prepare our staff and resources to ensure you receive focused attention during your visit.

Need to Reschedule?

We understand that life happens—schedules change, and sometimes you need to move your appointment.

To avoid a missed appointment fee, we kindly ask for at least 2 business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

This allows us to offer that time to another patient who may be waiting for care.

Missed Appointment Fee

If less than 2 business days’ notice is given, your appointment will be considered a missed appointment, and a fee of:

  • $50 per hour of scheduled time may be charged to your account.

This fee helps offset the cost of unused clinical time and supports our ability to serve all patients efficiently.

Emergencies & Flexibility

We recognize that unexpected situations—such as illness, family emergencies, or work obligations—can arise. We’re always happy to review missed appointments on a case-by-case basis, with fairness and mutual respect in mind.
